Helping plan a lot? Mine wants to be involved but I kind of freaked out last week because I wanted to look at limos. I usually call and make appts on my lunch break or after work, but we JUST bought a house, I'm knee deep in painting and getting ready for the housewarming party, and the last thing I like doing is arranging everyone's schedule for appointments. I started considering limos and then I got crazy thinking that first I need to check FMIL when she's free, then my mom, then FH... it's too much! I spoke with a friend of mine and she agreed with me and for her wedding she actually priced out a bunch of stuff herself and not everyone got involved. I just feel bad... I took my mom to the showcase so she saw what I like and I just wish FH's mom would offer to make an appointment or something. They offer to 'help' but then they don't really do anything... I was hoping she would see some fun stuff at the showcase and decide she wants to get it for us but so far she hasn't said anything other than she wants to 'be involved ' but scheduling everyone is killing me!

Is your FMIL...
I felt it was easier to do everything on my own. Like you said people offered to help but that meant that I would have to call and see if they were able to go at a time that I was etc. and to me it was too much trouble. The only person that was involved with anything as far as planning was DH. Invitations, flowers, dj, dress, suits, RH, photog, church, limo, favors... I mean everything. I probably would have included my mom but she lives 2 hours away :(

i feel like we are leaving people out but we try to invite people when we can/ when we think of it
it's even worse bc we are both girls. = 2 brides, mobs, etc!
we are kind of doing all by ourselves actually.... lol

Nope my FMIL doesn't even call or ask anything about the wedding. I wish I had one that was more involved. My Mom lives 1200 miles away so I feel like I am doing everything alone and it is overwhelming. If my Mom were here she would definitely be helping a lot. As soon as she heard we finally set the date she was in FL calling all RH in NY. lol

Re: Is your FMIL...
Thanks guys! My mom lives out of state half the year so I only have like ONE MONTH to do stuff with her while she's here! So FMIL can just come if she's free to appointments, otherwise I have to make them ASAP so my mom can come. She really wants to come see flowers and then all that's really left is the BM dresses and FMIL doesn't know the girls at all so I don't think she needs to drive out to David's Bridal for that lol.
