Isn't it sad...

...that amidst all the happiness surrounding the planning of our weddings, there are some people out there who show you their true colors and put a damper on the joy you're supposed to be feeling? I've read so many posts from brides who are having issues with their BM/family/friends (myself included) and it makes me so Thank God we have LIW to turn to for solace

I lost a friend in the span of my engagement who showed her true colors - and unfortunately have been disappointed by others over the course of being engaged as well. It's nice to know we are all a team/family and in this together. We're all here for each other and it feels good to let it all out to each other!

I don't know what I'd do without my LIW ladies! Many of you guys are 100 times better than my BM's. to all.

I agree! And I definitely talk to you ladies about the wedding planning more than all my BMs!!

I think the LIW girls are the only ones who actually understand the stresses of wedding and where we are actually coming from. I mean FHs try to.. but its not the same.. and families and friends add to frustration (i know MY mother does), questioning why we are doing what we are and having what we are and why we are booking what we are.. because its what I WANT... i am a people pleaser and want to make everyone happy.. BUT for just ONE day.. i want it to be about MY happines.. and of course. FH

SO TRUE. My MOH pissed me off today. She has been missing in action. I hear from her every 5 -6 weeks about the wedding. She tells me she has been having a 'family crisis'. Guess what the crisis was? Her mom is buying a second house in Vermont and she has been helping her. THAT is not a crisis.

very true. FHs don't get it, FILs certainly don't and even our own BMs don't get it!!!

speaking of which....i had a wedding nightmare: my dress was ready from alterations like this week (a month before) and the lady really needed us to pick it up...and she'd already pressed it so there would be no final pressing unless we paid extra....so FILs have this neighbor who well, let's say his house is the one that needs all the work and he's not the cleanest/neatest looking guy...he's really sweet, but a little eww.....anyway, she picked up my dress behind my back and took it over to his house for storage (mind you this man has like 10 cats [not all indoor, but a fair amount are] and we're all pretty sure his house stinks!!! I was livid at her for this and she had the nerve to be mad at me for not being thankful she found somewhere to store it!!! Thank goodness it was all a dream!!!

who would have thought we'd be having nightmares over our weddings the less days i see on my wedding date counter, the more frequent the nightmares become lol
