Isn't there a limit as to...........

how much one can throw out? My neighbors have what looks like the entire contents of their house out for garbage pick up.

I think you can put out as much as you want, but the sanitation guys will only pick up a few bags at a time.

I am wondering if they are going to take a little and leave the rest. I hope not because then we have to look at it until its gone because I'm sure the neighbors aren't going to bring it back in and then put a little out every time.

They will get citations and fines if they don't bring it back in. Maybe they called for a special pick-up or something?

I don't know but the pile they put out is tremendous.

You can call to complain, especially if there's no pickup today. DH works for sanitation and in his town trash cannot be put out until 7pm or so for the next day pick-up.

My neighbors did a big cleaning like that over the summer (they were preparing for their son's graduation party). The stuff stayed in front of the house for a few weeks. It was annoying.
