Issues!!! LONG VENT *OLD POST BUMPED FOR DIVABRIDE*
Okay, so I've mentioned before how David's Bridal has been nothing but difficult with me, particularly because I used to work there, I'm assuming.
To Recap: Went to the store I used to work in (Danbury, CT), got set up with a consultant, a former coworker who I adored (she trained me). She sets me up with a bra, slip, fitting room, and one dress, and disappears. Seeing as I knew what I was doing, I just grabbed my own dresses off the racks, and got help changing from my MOH, after I got tired of waiting for her to come back (she didn't, btw).
I fell in love with a dress, and didn't want to take it off. I knew that the sale that was going on would mean substantial savings for me, and that the sale was over soon, so I had to act then. For that reason, I decided to buy the dress then and there, even though I had gotten such bad service, and I made the best of the situation. My mom ended up choosing her dress, and I chose my BM dress then and there too - it was all fairly ironed out in my head. However, at check out, my dress was mixed up with another girl's dress. I noticed it that night and brought it back the next day. The woman in the store said that she would call the other girl and have her bring my dress back so they'd switch them. I wasn't crazy about this but what else could I do. However, when 4 days later my dress was still in some stranger's house, I called to complain. It was only then that I brought up the poor service I had received (I really didn't want to, but it became necessary). About an hour later I got a call from the consultant who ignored me saying that they would, in fact, order me a new dress. I told her that I was sorry that I had to bring that up, but that I was very disappointed in the fact that she had completely ignored me. She said, Well that's not really my problem. You're welcome for the $1200 sale in one day that you did NOTHING to earn, Lady.
Okay, so my bridesmaids have been ordering their dresses, and every time one of them goes into David's, they are given a HUGE attitude. One was even helped by 'my' consultant today (after she drove THREE HOURS to get there), and she was rude. There's an order info sheet there filed with my name on it that TELLS these women which dress is my BM dress, and they continually pretend to not know what is going on. My BM was snapped at today for not knowing the style number of the dress, which again, is ON FILE at their store! Hell, *I* could find the file. The horror stories just go on and on, and I'm really wishing I hadn't spent my money there.
To make matters worse, I tried to call corporate to complain tonight, but the 800 number connected me directly to the Carle Place store. I asked them to give me the number to corporate, and they refused. I checked the Davids website, and they give the same 800 number I called that connected me to Carle Place! I just don't know what to do about it anymore. Does anyone have any suggestions?
