I noticed in a post from earlier today that someone mentioned there had been some problems with Photography by Verdi recently. I have not logged on in sometime and was wondering what I missed. It was due to the good things I heard on this website initially, that I decided to book them. Now I'm wondering if it was a bad idea? Could anyone fill me in?

That is Crap! What is the reasoning behind that? It states in LIW rules:
'Long Island Weddings, Inc. does not control or endorse the content, messages or information found in these areas and, therefore, Long Island Weddings, Inc. specifically disclaims any liability with regard to these areas.'
Isn't that controlling it? I remember that you were quite to the point and listed facts only, there was no defamation of character at all. I guess on LIW freedom of speech does not exist. My respect for this web site just dropped down a million notches!

You know...I am sitting here cleaning my house and every so often come back to check if there is any movement on the boards...and while I clean I keep thinking about this. I know I should let it die because it happened already and it is said and done. But it really bothers me that there is censorship on this web site. ON one hand LIW states in the rules that they will not control content in any way and then they do...since the company is based in the US...they are forced to hold up to the freedom of speech amendement...let's sue them! LMAO...ok I really need to get over this.

Since when we can't complain about a vendor? What if we are not happy about one of them? What is this board for than for sharing our experiences good and bad!!! It makes me angry!

I guess we just have to FM each other with the bad experiences, which in my opinion is silly. We can voice the good through the message boards, but we have to sneak the bad experiences to each other through FM. Pretty silly

I think that is wrong that we can not post negative about a vendor. Understandable a vendor will read our boards and see what we have to say and may find a negative response damaging to there reputation.
But in giving critigues there will be some negative. I think if you did a negative job on something then you deserve negative feedback not praise.
I posted a very bad thing about a limo company and I told the girls if you want to know who it is to just FM me. I think that is always the safest thing. Post all the negative you want and have the girls FM you this way the vendor doesnt have to know it was about them.

The post is gone. I will just say this much, Verdi treated Cindy very poorly AFTER her wedding was over. She did not like the way one page in her album looked. She had NOT posted about the problems and only asked if there was anything that could be done to change the page. There response was to personally attack her and told her the page looked just fine. They also referred to some posts that she had written about her band, because many of the members never came to her wedding. They thought it was unfair of her to comment on that situation. If you need more info just FM Cindy.
One word about posts being removed- I think that one LIW bride actually e-mailed Verdi a very nasty e-mail after Cindy posted. I don't think we should get personally involved in that way JMO.
