I finally had my shower this weekend !!! It was so fun and I was totally shocked!!! Will try to post some pics later. Now me and FH already live together - our mothers wont let us use any of our gifts until after the wedding . Is anyone else waiting???? I dont think I can do it (FH wants to wait now too)

we are waiting until we move into our house -we live in an apartment now - so there isnt going to be much room for it all anyway - our presents will be in storage until we move! but i like it that way - this way when we get into the house all of our things will be new AND it will be easy since everything will still be in its boxes - less to pack! if you guys arent going anywhere i say use it now!

Well no one can really stop me from doing anything, lol. After the shower all the boxes were brought to my mothers since we are in an apartment. Yesterday our mothers badgered me with whole you HAVE to wait blah blah it will be nicer to have all new stuff after the wedding and they want to make our bed when go on our honeymoon - crazy ladies..

Wow! You are amazing! My shower was two weeks ago and everything is still sitting in our basement. We have used some of the things, like a pair of tongs and put some of the decorative stuff out, I started writing my thank you's, but got caught up in other things
You have inspired me though, I'm going to knock the rest of the thank you's off tonight.

My engagment party was August of 2007 and I still have not used any of the gifts I received. I have not had my shower yet, but we are not using our stuff until after the wedding. The theory behind it is if something happens (wedding gets called off, etc.) you are supposed to return the gifts, you cant do that if you use them. I know my wedding is not going to get called off, but I am superstitious and was told it is bad luck. JMO
