Well I was suspicious but not 100% sure if my shower would be this weekend...my parents took me to singleton's for a 'rehearsal dinner' meeting, and lo and behold 70 of my closest family and friends were there ready to celebrate my bridal shower!!
My sister, mom and bridesmaids did an AMAZING job and they pulled off a beautiful Mary Poppins theme!! (my favorite childhood movie!)
My sister in law did the traditional wine poem and then my sister made up her own joke gifts that came out of a carpet bag and was narrated by a letter from Mary Poppins herself! I took a stroll around my guests with my bow hat to 'Jolly Holiday' and my bridesmaids changed the lyrics to superfragicalilisticexpialidocious and performed it for everyone!
There are a bunch of pictures in my album so check them out!! Especially note the adorable invitation AND thank you cards my sister designed herself!! I'm so proud of her and thankful for an amazing day!!
Also, since my sister is out of town, it was also my bachelorette weekend!! I'll post about that soon with more pictures!!!

2014er here! i used to watch mary poppins every single day when i was younger hahahaa. i absolutely love all of the little mary poppins details for your shower! they did such a great job
Thanks!! I wish I had more pictures, they used chimney stacks for the wishing well, and had a hat stand with the carpet bag and everything!
I used to watch that movie multiple times a day when I was little...the only break my parents would get when they would convince me to watch the 'other Mary Poppins' which was Sound of Music! hehe

i also watched wizard of oz, little mermaid, beauty and the beast and bedknobs and broomsticks constantly! isn't it crazy how we were able to watch the same movie every single day? can't imagine doing that now lol
