it POURED this weekend! w/ pics!

sorry this is so long, but the weekend was so awesome, i had to post! it wasn't a surprise, but the only thing i knew was the date and time. and everything was awesome! my girls and my mom did a fabulous job. the shower was at the lakehouse in bayshore. the food was absoluately amazing! my mom and FSIL worked together and made coordinating centerpieces and favors. i don't have any pics of those yet though, but they were super cute!

and this was the coolest: for dessert, instead of a cake, my mom contacted the chef of our former favorite restaurant, which closed a few years ago. he made a whole tray of his signature dessert 'lincoln logs', which are my favorite things in the whole world. 'Lincoln logs' are essentially the tastiest french toast sticks, with ice cream and raspberry sauce. AWESOME surprise!!! go mom!

my bachelorette party was also that night and my girls rented a limo and we bar hopped until 3am, stopping at a bar where one of my dad's bands was playing!! although i've seen my Dad play a million times, it never gets old :) all in all, even with the ridiculous flight problems everyone had, it was an amazing weekend!! i love my mom & girls!!

I had to do a double take when I saw the Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head....I thought- wait a second, this is a SHOWER not a bachelorette party right? I thought I saw Mr. Reproductive Organ Potato Head at first since that's what I had for my bachelorette party!

Congratulations, it looks like you had a blast at your shower and your bachelorette party

actually YES! my FH's family is from San Diego so we had an engagement party/shower out there in June and they told me to save the bows for my actual shower! so my Mom carted them from SD to NY!
