It rained on Friday night - My Showertini review!!
I had my Showertini on Friday night and it was a blast!!! Some of the pics are in my album.
My sister did an awesome job planning it all and it was so nice to dance the night away with all of my friends and family.
She got the adorable invitations from Lauren at LM Card Designs and she also had the recipe cards made up from her as well. Everyone brought the cards to the shower with the gifts and my mom got me a personalized recipe box to keep them in... love this!!!!
The centerpiece was a large martini glass and then regular sized martini glasses filled with blue liquid and candles floating around. The place cards were from Etsy and she put little drink charms on them for everyone to use at home. The favors were Cosmo Drink Mixes and home made cake pops in my colors...soooo good!!
The shower was at Roma View in Howard Beach and the food was awesome!! Everyone started off with cocktails from the open bar (I saw lots of Cosmos in the room when I walked in!) and they had passed horderves as they waited for me to arrive. We did a little dancing when I got there after I said hello to everyone and then we ate since it was already 8:30pm.
Dinner was buffet style and we had food a few stations with sliders and hotdogs, tacos and some others that I can't remember right now, but everything was delicious and we brought the left overs home for dinner the next day! Everyone raved about the cake and I don't know what bakery they use and my pregnant BM told me she was going from table to table eating the cookies because they were so good![]()

After dinner the DJ got things started and everyone was up on the dance floor having a great time. The DJ was suggested by the catering hall and he was good. Most of the people were up dancing and we even did a dance sititng in our chairs in the middle of the floor with my FH's great aunt who wasn't able to stand up to dance![]()
The gifts were all wrapped in clear and put on a table with name labels on them so everyone could walk around and see who brought what without having to sit through the gift opening session. I loved this!!! This way everyone got credit for the awesome gifts the gave and no one had to suffer. I made a speech right before the cake was served thanking everyone for coming and for their generosity and I got a round of applause when I said I wasn't going to open the gifts there![]()
I'm guessing some of the older, traditional people were annoyed by this, but the majority of the people loved it, including my mom and FMIL and their friends!
It was definitely an awesome night and I can't believe it is over already!!!! I couldn't move on Saturday when I woke up because I was so tired...And now I have to sort through all of my gifts and I can't wait to use them!![]()
