I've been very busy, I was trying to get my hands on some good pics, etc.
Anyway, my shower was 8/5/07 @ Ciro's 107 in Kings Park - the food was great, and it's cute in there.
My Mom and sister (HELLLLOOOO LURKERS!) did a great job with the all the details.
Let me tell the story through pics.
Me walking in: This is when the tears started. They didn't stop until my first glass of champagne punch was gone.![]()
I gave my sister a dress to hold on to for me about 6 months before my wedding, and asked her to please bring it to my shower when the time came. She listened!
The lovely hostesses:
Sister (MOH), then me, Mom
Yup, my eyes are glassy and and I'm all blotchy because I'm still crying.
Mom's adorable towel cake - Loved it, even though she had to stab the bears to get them to stay! AND her biscotti placecards. The tables were named after cities in Italy - where we're HMing. They were a great idea - everyone knew where to sit, and who doesn't love an edible placecard!?!
My bridal party - bridesmaid (friend), bridesmaid (FSIL), and MOH (sister)
You can also see a little bit of the favor - it was a cruet with a wine scene on it. Mom and Sister also attached a little spice packet and saying that they came up with...the guests just had to add olive oil and the spice packet contents to the cruet for instant dipping oil. I LOVE DIPPING - AND I LOVE BREAD. Great idea for a favor!!! (This is the white wine version - they used white AND red).
I'm keeping one of each color and using it for oil AND vinegar!
My special artichoke - I love them! (Also another shot of the favor)
They had everyone sign this baseball cap for me - cute idea!
My sister put together this photo board with all pics of Rich and Me when we were little, and from our past 7 years together. I cried when I saw that, too.![]()

OH THE IRONY. Rich's favorite registry item was a silly printed shower curtain that he was obsessing over in BB&B. (Don't tell anyone that - he'll kill me.) Wellllllll - our new home has a STALL SHOWER!!![]()

Overall, it was a fabulous day. We continued the party back at my parents' house and I continued to cry throughout the day. I DON'T KNOW WHAT GOT INTO ME!!!!
It was sooooo nice to see those that really truly care for me and support my marriage come out and celebrate.
