I was duped into beleiving i was going to a brunch for a fellow LIW bride...i even went out & bought a gift!! But when i arrived and saw my Mom I knew...it was at Sazzios in New Hyde Park, which is where i grew up..it was a small group of my best friends and closest people who are like family...(FH's family is out of state they are doing a separate shower) It was perfect...great food, alot of laughs and many wonderful gifts, even from people who couldn't make it.
The funniest part was they spelled my name wrong on the cake..my name is w/ a 'K'...it was also apparently supposed to say 'A Shore Thing'...haha...my poor SIL...i said come on..that just makes it more ME! I always have things go wrong..
My CP's are the same flowers I will be using in my BQ...it was exciting to see them up close..i LOVE peonies!! They were done by Laurie from LA Blossom...who also happens to be my BF since childhood and helped organize the whole thing.
More pics in album..these are just ones i took...waiting for more. I was on such a high yesterday...i think i was smiling the whole hour long car ride home...haha.
Congrats!!! love the saying on your cake, very cute!!!
