It showered this weekend AND I had my trial

MY BM's threw me a shower this weekend I had told them to make it a 'general shower' and not to put bridal or baby on the invites. So they just put that I was registered at Crate & Barrel & Buy Buy Baby, etc... I expected people to get me one gift, ya know? But 80% of the guest got me a baby gift AND a bridal gift. I was shocked. I was even embarassed. I didn't want people to have to get me 2 gifts ir go to 2 showers. I was really touched.

Even MY MOTHER got in on the action, which was the biggest shock of all. My MOH asked her to bring a flower for me to wear. The woman showed up with 10 dozen roses. I was floored. We wrapped up 1/2 dozens in ribbon and gave them to everyone as they were leaving, It was such a nice touch.

IN OTHER NEWS, I had my makeup trial with Khoulouds. I am definitely booking them for my wedding. My hair stayed all day. I may change the actual updo though. Pics in my album. What do you think??? I think it might be a little too formal for a daytime beachy wedding?

She also did my makeup which came out great and stayed all day. I am not posting those pictures b/c I am too vain. Sorry... at 9 months pregnant, I am very self conscious. My face & neck are bloated & my nose is swollen across my face. Just take my word for it that she did a great job on makeup.

Please give me your honest opinions on the hair...

Congrats and good for you. Who cares both showers were at the same time. I did mine bass ackwards. Had my baby five years ago and am getting married this year. It's the millenium, we're doing it our way now. Sounds like your friends and family had a good time showering you.

Actually, I didn't get to meet Rose this weekend. Kasey did both my hair & makeup. I hear Rose is great too though so I am excited that I booked them
