It was a 'Showery' Sunday!!! MY shower was yesterday (4/30) too!!
So, as some of you know my shower was yesterday (Apr 30), and I knew about it, sort of by accident. But I only let a few people know I knew, because I didn't want to disappoint the girls who had put in so much effort to make this day special for me. I give a big thanks to my bridal party, my mom, my mom’s friends and her daughters. They all did so much to make my shower a success and a special day for me. And even though I knew the date, I didn’t know where or what time or who would be there. The biggest surprise was my mom. My mom (who is one of my BEST friends) lives in Illinois and I didn’t think she’d make it, especially when she told me last week about hurting her knee so bad that she couldn’t walk w/o locking her knee. I thought for sure she wouldn’t be there. Also, I tried not to set myself up for disappointment, thinking she’d be there and she wouldn’t.
So I get to the place, my brother was the decoy to say he wanted Chinese Buffet. I had to go to the bathroom SO bad, and as I am walking back, my
MOH (Kathy) comes out and starts leading me to the room. As I walk in and they’re all saying surprise! And cameras are snapping, I scan the room to see who is there, and as soon as I saw my mom I started crying (I’m about to cry again as I am writing this). It was such a joy to see here there!!! The planning has been so rough without her here to help or go on appointments with. This made up for all those things.
I was blessed with some amazing gifts and wonderful friends and family. And I had an AWESOME time. A special![]()
