Yeah definitely not doing an Italian song. I mean, we'll definitely have Cuando Cuando and the Tarantella but not sure what else.

We haven't decided yet, but I don't think FH would be interested in an Italian song since he's Filipino and British.

Re: Italian Brides

both FH and I are 100% Italian and we're not doin' any Italian Songs. My grandfather was born in Italy but he passed away.. I mean during dinner we'll have some Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennet goin' but that's about it lol

ETA: I obviously read the question wrong lol and English for the first dance haha

Re: Italian Brides

yeah I think about the most italian we'll get at the wedding is some Frank Sinatra in the beginning for the older folk LOL. And FH's gotta have his Irish music (although rightfully so because 1/2 his family is coming straight from Ireland for this wedding).

My mother's whole side is Italian (none born there, nor do any speak it). Although I have a feeling some of them will 'take over' the dance floor, I do know at previous weddings they will dance to anything with a beat. I can't stand old music, it's not getting played. Maybe I will tell the keyboardist that during the dinner he can play Frank or Tony.

Re: Italian Brides

not having an italian song for the first dance, (my sister did though she surprised everyone with 'vivo per lei', it was nice), but we def will be having some italian songs at the reception, like ti amo, and the tarantella

half english and half italian

I Belong to You {il Ritmo della Passione} by Eros Ramazzotti and Anastacia

ETA: Most of my family does not speak italian [and I dont speak it either] but this song means something to both FH & I and his whole family speaks and understands italian so it will be a nice song for both sides of the family whether they understand the italian part or not.

My Dh is 100% Italian first generation. He wanted como se bella as our first dance song. I was opposed to that being that I am not Italian at all. We compromised and had our spot light dance song como se bella. He also danced with his mom to an Italian song.

we're using Voices, they are located on Bath Avenue in Brooklyn. I've seen them at so many weddings and always wanted them for my own!
