Hey ladies! We are starting to look at catering halls for our wedding and are seeking suggestions to accomodate our large Italian families. We are planning to invite between 180-235 guests, and the wedding will hopefully be sometime in 2009. The season and day/time are flexible. We've been to Jericho Terrace and Villa Lombardi's--the menus at these places are along the lines of what we are looking for. Please post suggestions with prices (or FM me). Anywhere on Long Island or vacinity would be appreciated. TIA!!!

We're getting married at Venetian Yacht Club - it was owned by Italians now Greek people but the upstairs room can accomodate up to 250 right on the water

Re: ITALIAN WEDDING--halls?
I'm having an Italian wedding but not in Long Island, not sure if you're interested in New Rochelle Halls....
The Fountainhead Glen Island Harbour Club VIP
and in Queens/LI..... Russo's on the Bay Leonard's Verdi's Chateau Briand Villa Lombardi
I've been to so many Italian weddings at these places...let me know if you want more info. I have prices for a few of them as well.
Good Luck.

Re: ITALIAN WEDDING--halls?
I found this to be very helpful when I was looking for halls. Reception Hall Guide
It tells you the type of cuisine each RH serves and you can search by # of guests and price too.

Re: ITALIAN WEDDING--halls?
the only ones i can think of are Russo's & Leonard's. try my RH as well, WCC. it's owned by italians.
Hahaha, I'm laughing because it's like all weddings on Long Island are Italian Weddings!! Most halls are owned by Italians, oddly enough, and they all have Italian menus. I've been to VERY Italian weddings at every hall on the island, practically. Leonard's looks like your in Italy, the Scotto Brothers' menus are nearly 100% Italian and the chef at Chateau Briand is award winning, Crest Hollow did my brother's wedding -- Italian Blowout!!! You can't go wrong anywhere from the middle of the Island westward.
