Italy?

Italy?

Has anyone taken a tour of Italy? I am looking to plan a trip for next summer and would like any information/suggestions from people who have been there before.

We have never been to Italy, and the reason I am considering a tour is because there are so many things to see, I want to do as much as possible.

Thanks in advance!

I lived there for four months and honestly I would just focus on an area and do it on your own. It would be a shame to be on a tour in Italy. Part of the fun is just doing what you want and getting lost. Besides it's too romantic to be there on your honeymoon with a tour group.

I was there once and we did a 10 day tour. We stayed in Lake Guarda, Florence, and Rome.

Venice was my favorite place, where you can see St. Mark's, go to the top of the bell tower for an amazing view and ride a gondola, so romantic.

Florence was great too. A lot of shopping there for jewelery and anything leather! That is also where Ponte Vecchio is, which is a gorgeous old bridge that was built in the 1500's and rebuilt over time. It has shops on it also. El Duomo is also in Florence and it's an amazing church that was built in the 1300's. The Uffizi Gallery is another place you have to go there.

And of course Rome is BEAUTIFUL! The Vatican museum was great and you can see the Sistene Chapel. St. Peter's and the colliseum are also gorgeous and filled with so much history!

I can't remember everything, I went there in high school, about 8 years ago, and I'm relying on my memory and some pictures to recall everything.

I hope this helped and let me know if you have any more questions, maybe i can help
