Italy for Honeymoon

We were thinking of going to Italy for our honeymoon. Has anyone been there and could make any suggestions. We wanted to go to the 'beach' part of Italy like Positano etc...

Re: Italy for Honeymoon

We also wanted to go to Italy on our HM but we ended up not going because for June it was way too much money.

We decided to go to Greece instead, which was beautiful and plan on going to Italy during Spring when it is cheaper.

Re: Italy for Honeymoon

We're going to Italy for our honeymoon as well.

4 nights in Rome
4 nights in Chianti
2 nights in Portofino
4 nights in Venice

with the exception of Portofino, we're really not doing the beach party of Italy because we couldn't fit it into our 2 week itinerary. Niether of us has been to Italy before, so we decided we wanted to do all of the above, and we will go back in a few years and just do Amalfi/Capri.

Re: Italy for Honeymoon

i have been, but not to the beach. Venice, Rome, and Florence (week backpacking trip). But it is really nice and if you can handle the flight on your honeymoon then go for it. I am not doing it because we don't want to be on the plane that long.

Re: Italy for Honeymoon

I just booked my honeymoon last week. We are renting an apt on a villa estate for a week in Tuscany. We plan on going to Florence and then side trips to the wineries, etc. It looks so amazing.
