It's never a dull moment, another short story by Danielle

Original post by yelley77

So, yesterday my friend and I decide to go into the city down to Canal Street for some good ol fake bag shopping. It was a beautiful day and felt that some retail therapy would be the perfect end to a long weekend. Well, fun it was, drama free, it was not.

We took the tain in and got to Canal at about 12:30. We started at the very beginning of the block so that we wouldn't miss a single shop. About 2.5 hours in, with at least 7 bags under our belt, we were having the best day. Then, all of a sudden, we heard a lot of sirens and saw a big crowd in the crosswalk of an intersection. Of course, being the nosey biotches we are, we ran over only to see a guy being arrested, and PULLED out from under a taxi cab. There was so much comotion, that we figured we should just walk away and keep shopping. After we walked about 20 feet, we see an officer standing over a ton of Louis 'F'uitton bags and we overheard someone saying that when the guy saw the cops, he ran and then the caught him and arrested him. We thought that that would be the only entertainment for the day; boy, were we wrong.

Shortly after that, my friend went into a store and I waited outside. I overheard two Korean women talking and one said, 'Yeah, his face is bleeding, he got punched in the face. He tried to stop the guy from stealing.' I thought maybe it was an old story and she was just gossiping with the other lady. Well, we walk two stores down and there is another big crowd and a Korean man sitting on the front steps of his store with blood EVERYWHERE... his face, hands, clothes, sidewalk -- we were like, HOLY CRAP, what is going on today? again, we just kept walking and 2 cars down from the store was a man, with white sunglasses in his hand and a bloody hand to match. He was screaming, 'I did pay for them! I did pay for them!' My mouth was dragging on the floor.

I never knew that Chinatown could be so eventful. But, I'm not going to lie. I was a little scared.

Anyway, bless your heart if you read this whole thing. It was defintiely one of those, 'you had to be there' kinda things, but hopefully you'll enjoy my rendition.

haha I used to work down near Chinatown. And sometimes there would be days where I would be scared to go out and get lunch because of some drama I saw hte day before haha

Glad you were okay and didnt get in trouble for those bags

Thanks!!! I had no idea it wasn't legal? I mean, there are a LEAST 100 stores!! Although, when we agreed to go see Coach bags and they took us on a 3 block long walk into a salon, through a trap door, down the stairs and into a basement, I should have known something wan not right. LOL

ok first of all that is hysterical hat you didnt know that.

second of all i totally thought this story was going to end with you either getting arrested or getting the bags taken away from you!

Me to. I thought the cop was going to make her go back and take the bags. Sorry to make fun girl - it was just funny when you hear Chinatown and fake Hucci's!!

It's all good!! I thought it was funny too!!!

oh, lol!

I went nuts. I picked my mom up a Dolce & Gabana bag and a black Coach wallet. I got my BM's little D&G wristlets (4) to put in their gift bags (not sure if I am using them yet, though, I might go to the Coach outlet and see if I can find something real), I got FMIL a Coach bag and out it away for Christmas and FSIL a samll D&G bag for Christmas and I bought myself two D&G bags and a Coach wallet. All for $150 bucks!!!

DOn't get my wrong, I love my real bags, but I can only buy one of thsoe a year, lol!

Omg you went on a mad woman shopping frenzy. That's a lot of stuff. You cant even get a REAL coach for 150 unless it's like a realy small teeny weeny wallet. Good stuff girl and you're already stocking away for Xmas. Not bad!!
