It's Official! The church is booked in Portugal!! (w. Pics!!)
I AM SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!!
The secretary at our church in Portugal just e-mailed and we have officially booked our church in Portugal!! YAI!!! It is a world famous church and so beautiful!! I also grew up in the neighborhood so it has such a special meaning to me!!!
We were nervous because we needed all of our paperwork done here before we could book the church there (which meant doing Precana, meeting with our priest & having him write a letter to give us permission to marry elsewhere, permission from the bishop here, approved by the bishop there, a whole big to do!!)... and after all that... THEY HAVE APPROVED ALL OF OUR PAPERWORK AND OFFICIALLY BOOKED THE CHURCH!! We are set to go!! I am so excited I could burst!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I am getting married here and having my civil ceremony at Eastwind but I have tons of family (like 50 cousins, my grandparents, all my aunts and uncles) in Portugal so we are having a 2nd wedding there a week later... I was born there and lived there until I was 8 so it is a place that is near and dear to my heart.

All I can is WOW! What a gorgeous church! Congratulations! Its so nice that you're doing this for your family in Portugal. I have family in Poland and I am MAKING them come down here...hehehehhe
