I have always wanted to have my rehearsal dinner at Shea Stadium. FH and I are the hugest Mets fans around and I really wanted to plan my date around their scheule (unfortunately there's no way for us to know at this time if they will be in town or not). But I was hoping to have our RD at Shea and then watch the game afterwards. In a perfect world the game would be an evening game the day before my wedding. But now the FH and I will be paying for our own RD (his parents cant afford it) so I was wondering if it would be tacky to have it relaxed and in the picnic area and then have bleacher seats to the game. What do you all think? I have never sat in the bleachers at Shea. The Mets are such a big part of our relationship too, we go to at least 8-10 games a season and I was a huge Mets fan before I even knew him so it was destiny that we came together! All opinions are welcome!

What a great idea! Wow, I didn't know you could do that... my FH and FFIL are the BIG Met fans. FH took me to my first baseball game, and I love it now too. FM me if you hear anything.

What about going for the actual dinner part of the RD (someplace little and local to Shea) and then going to the game?

i think this is a great idea ... I am a big Met Fan but FH is a yanlee fan booo ... so he would neever agree to doing this ...

We would have loved to do the RD at the Diamond Club restaurant but we really dont have the money for that, thats why I was thinking a bbq in the picnic area. Thanks for the suggestions, they help!

That is an awesome idea!!! FH and I would love to see where we're at financially before our wedding and rent a sky box at the coliseum for a Ranger Islander game!! I love your idea...it's great!!
