It's too early for me to be stressed

It's too early for me to be stressed

Hi girls,

I'm not getting married until May of 2004 and I am already freaking out about so many things. I'm sure this is normal but tell me, in the end how does it all get done?

My biggest thing this morning (it may pass if I have a good hair day tomorrow but I haven't had any good hair days for about a week now) is STRUGGLING not to chop my hair off. I know it sounds TERRIBLY shallow because I know people that have bigger problems than this but I'm sure my FI is sick of hearing me complain about my hair every morning. I had really long hair, got out of a bad relationship and chopped it all off--it was very liberating I must say--and now it's almost shoulder length but I'm sick of it. The problem is in EVERY magazine I look at the brides all have long hair. I've always pictured my hair up and always thought that I wouldn't have to worry about it if it was up--humidity, rain, whatever happens on the day of my wedding. Are any of you out there short haired brides or seen pictures of short haired brides. I'm looking for ideas/thoughts on how I would do my hair if I did cut it. How will it look with veils, etc? I'm I crazy or should I just wear it up in a ponytail for the next year and chop it the day after my wedding? I'm sorry if this sounds super shallow!

OK...First off, you are NOT being shallow by worrying about your hair...If my hair doesn't look good, I'm not happy...so I know how you feel!

I had really short hair for a very long time. A few month beofre I got engaged I started to grow it. The shoulder length stage was the worst part for me. One side flipped under, one side did not and this was very frustrating for me. GIVE IT TIME. If you like milk, drink it and take vitamins. I also HIGHLY recommend Senscience Shampoo and Conditioner. It's hard to find, try a beauty supply place, they should have it. It's usually only sold in Salons...It's REALLY good!!!

I hope everything works out. If not, short hair is beautiful too.

Good luck!

If you want your hair to grow by May don't worry it will. The worst part of growing your hair out is the dreaded in between stage. Which I too am going through right now!!! I know its so hard to not go and just cut it all off!!! Just give it a few weeks and it will grow out of it. Just make sure that you go to have it cut every 4-6 weeks just a tipping so your not growing unhealthy hair. I have seen brides with short hair and they look beautiful. How have you pictured yourself in your wedding with long hair or with short? Do what you feel comfortable with.

My wedding is 9/27/03....I cut my hair to chin length last fall. It is growing back now, almost shoulder length. I wish I hadn't done it!! I know it will be long enough to do for the wedding but all I do is put it back in a clip. Cut it if you want, but you sound a LOT like me. When it is long, you put it up a lot, am I right? I guess you can cut, it will always grow back for 2004!!
