I've become obsessed with the Matrix!! Post theories

OK...so DH got me a great ripped DVD quality copy of the Matrix reloaded...and I've been watching the 2 movies non stop to try to come up with a theory...

the biggest theory going around is that the real world/zion is actually another matrix...that when the .1% reject the first matrix...they are put into another one that will fool them...this is why neo can stop the sentinels in the end...

but I don't buy that...I think that the architect knows that part of smith is in neo and he does NOT want neo to go to the source...b/c then Smith could gain control of the Matrix (those in power only want one thing - more power)...so the architect creates the illusion of choice for Neo (right door or left door) and they programmed the Matrix to have Trinity shot, so that Neo would save her...


I'm not sure about the Oracle's role at this point though...why does she take the red pill (the candy)...in the trailer at the end...is she talking to Neo or to Smith - 'He needs to be stopped' - is she really the mother of the matrix (remember the architect says Puh lease, when Neo says that the Oracle is the mother)...or is the architect/mother really Merovigian and his woman Persephone?


I'd love to hear your theories...

Erica- I have to admit, though I've seen both movies and own the first one, I haven't really gotten into analyzing it all.

Al, on the other hand, may have some theories (he's seen it a LOT more than I have).
