I've been a bad girl

I've been a bad girl

I lost a total of 14 pounds. However, the pass two weeks I have been very very bad. Eating whatever I want whenever I want too and not working out that much. I surprisingly haven't gained any weight I lost but I really have no self control!!! I need motivation and self control ladies!!!!

When I was about 5 months out from my wedding, I was in the same situation and everyone told me I was too far out to try and lose weight. I lost a few pounds then but always knew that I had time. Please don't beat yourself up...be proud of what you accomplished and know that you have time. Ultimately, I lost 32 pounds, I'm wearing a size 8 and feel really good for our wedding in two weeks.

PS. I just had three chocolate covered pretzels for breakfast

Just take a deep breathe. I am a firm believer that sometimes you just need to pig out or be lazy or both. Your body is telling you something.

Start with this....it's supposed to be a beautiful day today. Go for a leisurely walk. Enjoy the sunshine, etc. That way, you get a little exercise and some good vitamin D from the sun.

Then, plan a grocery list and menu for the week. Pick things that are delicious but also healthy. Check out skinny taste.com for some ideas.

You will be fine, just listen to your body and give it what it needs!

I wouldn't go into a self hatred spiral. However I also don't think it should be a wedding that makes you want to lead a healthy life. Is FH on board? If you're both focused on having a healthy lifestyle, it will make it easier. That being said, we all go through 'bad' periods or have bad days. I think if you start the day right, you usually eat better the rest of the day. I always think of it as a balancing act..if you have something bad for lunch, just do better at dinner! You can dooooo it :)

Thanks ladies for the words of encouragement. I want to live a healthier lifestyle. My fh is overweight and he isn't doing that great with sticking with a diet. I know as I get older it doesn't get easier and I want to be a role model because I am a nurse. I should practice what I preach!

I completely understand if your fiancee isn't great at sticking with the diet then it's almost impossible to eat healthy. When you're in a relationship, you have to feel like you're both on board. So maybe you just have to try to cook food for both of you so that you both can feel connected!

Like one of the other ladies said, just don't beat yourself up about falling off the wagon. A few bad days or even a few bad weeks can never kill you, even though it feels like the second you eat something bad that you have to give up on your goals. The important thing is that you give yourself those cheat days so that the rest of the time you can be right on the ball. It's never too late to get to your goals :)

I like this little chart. I think I will do this on my calender. I will try to get as many smiles as possible!!! Its definitely a lifestyle. As we get older and build a life together we should all want to be the best for our mates. So we can live a full life.
