I've been faking it..

Living on LI that is :) I am getting married on LI in Sept. 07, but live in the city right now...but as of this Saturday, I am moving to LI
My fiance and I are very excited to be able to go to the beach, and relax in a backyard on weekends now!! oh yeah and shop for wedding stuff and have a car!!
Tell me more good stuff about living on LI as opposed to the city!

I live in Queens but my FH lives in Long Beach and I love it. I cannot wait to move in with him.
Long Beach is awesome......you can walk to the beach. Great bars/restaurants to go to. I'm sure you are going to love LI.

yeyyy!! I LOVE living here!! U will have a blast here!! I love the Hamptons and Long Beach.. I live in the middle of them so I can go either way! where on LI will you be living when you settle down?

For now Westbury, for the next 1-2 years, which is about 20 minutes from the beach...not bad! and I will be commuting to the city so it's an easy commute too.

Oh D's Girl (Bari) lives in Westbury. I'm sure she can fill ya in on some hip places, and great resturants too!! Long Island is alot less hectic than the city. God knows we all need to slow down at some point

I don't live on the Island anymore, but I grew up in West Islip and Lindenhurst.....we live in Westchester now.

I would move back in a heartbeat!! DF works in Rockland so his commute would be a nightmare..

oh and BTW, we drive to the beach almost every weekend...45 minutes, but who cares its worth the commute.....

I love Long beach too. I live in Northport though FH lives in Plainview. I love living less than 10 mins from the beach!

dont worry i dont live in LI either!!! i actually prefer the city but LI def has its perks.......im sure you'll have no prob adjusting!!! enjoy the beach

I MISS LONG BEACH!!!!

FH lived in LB and they had the BEST block parties! I loved sitting on the veranda, drinking a corona, and watching all the people walk by. The beach was on the corner. Why did we buy a house in O'side??
