So about a month ago I received an e-mail about being on the show Four Weddings! I replied that I was interested and subsequently sent them an e-mail and completed a questionnaire they sent me. I was called about a week later asking me to come into the city for an audition. I went and was so nervous. Yesterday I received a call from the producer and they are still very interested!! She said she loved my audition tape! Now she just has to get approval from my venue and coordinate it with three other weddings. Then she is submitting the 'show' for approval from TLC. I am so excited!! Everything is out of my control at this point, and she said it could be up to a month before i hear anything. Please girls wish me luck. As many of you know I am not going on a real honeymoon since we can't afford both that and a family vacation and I didn't want to take the kids vacation away from them. I could really use a honeymoon! And if nothing else...I get free video of the wedding since we aren't having video now. AAAAAAHHHHHH!!

so are you going to do anything 'extra' now that you know you'll be competing? like, will you upgrade anything (food wise) or whatnot just to ensure you'll win?

Congratulations. That is so exciting about you being on the how. Have the best time and luck with it..I know how you feel about keeping the secret. I filled out an application to be on a new show coming out on E called House of Brides. A week later they called me and asked me to come in for an auditon as well. I went into the city March 19. She said it would be a couple of months. Well unfortunately I havent heard anything. Oh well, maybe its for the best. My wedding would have had to been bumped up sooner and who knows if I would still have the same place. I cant imagine not getting married at JT. Maybe I wished hard enough for it not to happen... Anyway, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you..

I didn't want to tell anyone until I knew something...kind of didn't want to put a jinx on anything... I didn't even tell FH until the interview was scheduled!! (But I knew he would be OK with it and he was)

That would be a big NOOOOOO!! We are paying for the entire wedding ourselves, and we have three kids to support...so I have been keeping a very strict, and very small, budget! I think that considering the $$ we are spending (under $15,000) that we are going to be way above people's expectations. That said...I hope to win (If I get on the show) but I am not counting on it. There really shouldn't be any comparison between my $300 DB on sale dress and an $8000 designer gown. I am secretly hoping that I get votes because people are jealous of the 'big expensive' weddings and just vote against them! Does that make me a bad person??
