I want to ask my Gma to walk down the aisle - but...
she already bought her dress - does she have to match the BP?
Can she walk alone?
Also - I'm not sure if she'll feel self conscience doing it - she is gorgeous and I love her - and that will make the BP uneven at the ned of the aisle....
what do you ladies think????

Re: I've been thinking....
What a great idea!! I don't think it matters if she doesn't match the BP or if the BP at the end of the aisle is uneven, because she'll be her own special person. As for being self-conscious, you should just let her know that you would understand if she doesn't feel comfortable doing it.

no - not stupid at all - it's just that we use so many abbreviations and acronyms, who knows what Gma could have stood for!!!!

Re: I've been thinking....
Do you think it's too late to ask her? I feel bad not asking her from the start - but I can see her feeling she shouldn't because its my day - I'll have to tell her how much it would mean to me....

Re: I've been thinking....
Aren't grandmothers suppose to walk down anyway? Every wedding I have been to, Grandmas always walked in before the parents of the bride/groom... Hmm, I thought this was the norm.....

Re: I've been thinking....
My grandmas both walked down the asile but my brothers made 3 trips down the asile (to escort each grandma and then by themselves). My grandma had a hissy fit at the mention of walking alone. Both of my grandfathers have passed on. My brothers were also groomsmen.
