I've posted this before, but for those of you who have DOCs...

How often do you speak with them? We are paying just under $1,000 for our Day of Coordinator, and I always have to initiate contact with her (over email). I know that she has other clients, but sometimes I really wish she would initiate the contact! Especially since we are a little over 4 months until my wedding.

How often do you touch base with your DOC?

Most of the time DOC won't really contact you or have a sit down with you until about 1 month before the wedding. Unless you are using her for additional services. I have a DOC and our first meeting won't take place until March.

I speak to mine on the phone. It can take awhile sometimes for her to get back to me but she always calls.

I had one for the just the day of. I met with her 3 times face to face before the wedding and I emailed her a few times as well. That's it!

Wow that's great kam. Who are you using?

I am using the same as Kam... Rosilee, and yes, she contacts us pretty often to see if we ever need anything, and she was under $1000...

She is great!

I haven't had much contact with my DOC since I booked her. The main reason is that I haven't booked a lot of my vendors yet.
Once that is all done, I would expect to speak to her around a month before the wedding.
But whenever I call or email her she gats back to me right away.

DOC is really 'day of'. She will be more hands on a month or so before your date.

A wedding planner would always be in touch with you regarding appts., trails, looking for the dress, etc..

don't get me wrong, DOC cares but in a different way...she doesn't need to be there for the other planning... im sure she is there to advise you.

I speak to my DOC at least twice a week. She always calls me to see if I need any moral support or just to make sure I'm not getting stressed. If I have a question then I call her. She's been a blessing to us, and I know she has many other brides she's working with, BUT still calls me. I am paying allot less then $1000. Not only is she helping me but she's also going to come with me to the place to check it out and come up with suggestions she'll be going with me for fittings. And there is no extra charge for any of those extras. She certainly has become this brides best friend.

I spoke to my DOC almost every week for about a year before the wedding. She would ask me if I needed anything or any help. She was truly awesome and worth every penny. Even after the wedding she still emails me to see how I am going. I had a party at my house last night and she gave me party/hostess tips. She ROCKS!

Oh and I used Rosalie from Expressions. I will recommend her over and over.

I speak to her at least once per week, otherwise quite often to keep her up to date on contracts that are signed, items I will need to be taken care of, and other small tid-bits.

see-that's all I'm looking for....I want her to touch-base with me every once in awhile, and she doesn't unless I initiate it.

Oh, well....she'll get hers when it comes time for me to write my wedding review
