Ivory Dress Brides....

I want FH to wear black tux with white tie and white shirt, is that going to clash with the ivory dress in pics??

Do they offer ivory for tuxs?

Anyone have pics?

YES they offer ivory for tuxes, fh is going to wear an ivory shirt.

Theres some pics where i didnt see a difference but yes there have been times i do notice the difference between white and ivory next to eachother. I think it will depend alot on your ivory dress, ivory varies from designer to designer and some are lighter than others

We just did our tuxes this weekend and I have an ivory dress. I personally didn't like the ivory shirts...i thought they looked dingy, so FH is wearing a white shirt with an ivory vest and tie. It looked awesome, i was actually really impressed because I had it pictured in my head and was crossing my fingers that it would look good in person and it did. GMs are wearing white shirts with black vests and ties to match the BM's black dresses.

So I would say it's up to you, check it out in person so you can make your own decision, because it might also vary by what white shirt and/or ivory shirt/vest/tie you choose.

i agree that ivory shirts sometimes look dingy - and i like the contrast between a clean white shirt and an ivory vest/tie.....i have a feeling my FH will do the same

this is what i am trying to decide as well. i like the look of the ivory vest with the tie and then the groomsmen are wearing a deep redish color for their vest.

but i dont know if the groomsmen wear ivory shirts as well

Exactly, it was the contrast that was great. The crispness of the white shirt with the softness of the ivory vest and tie I thought was very elegant.

Hmm... Havent looked yet, But I was thinking an ivory shirt, etc for FH... but would the GM all wear ivory shirts too with whatever vests/ties they're wearing?

i was wondering the same thing. and do tux places offer different shades of ivory for the grooms tux?

Yes. My dress is antique white and I was told that FH and BP have to wear shirts that blend well with my dress. There are tons of shades of ivory and off white- each companies colors vary. So I would bring a swatch of your dress (if possible) to match it up with the shirts. HTH's


Oh same goes with your flowers and FG Dress. They told me to try to match things based on my dress color if possible.

Oh.... And FH went to one tux place and their color IVORY was seriously YELLOW!!! It really does make a difference.

I wore an ivory dress and FH wore a white shirt. The tux place advised him to wear ivory too....but we thought the white looked crisper against the black tux and the grey vest/tie (yeah we didn't want the ivory tie/vest either hahaha). I don't think it's that noticeable of a difference if he wears white.

I agree, and you can't tell at all. Looks exactly the same.....and gorgeous.
