ivory dress...what color shoes????

I dont know to go with gold or silver...I never got a swatch..eeeeekkkkk...dont know what to do!

I had an ivory dress and just ordered regular bridal shoes - they matched fine and no one could even see my shoes

Do you not want to wear ivory?

My gown is diamond white (it didn't come in ivory ) and I got diamond white shoes. If I hadn't found shoes I liked in diamond white, I'd have had them dyed to match.

And I agree - no one will be paying close attention to your feet!

As a spinoff to this, I've read that shoe dyeing places warn you that shoes dyed ivory or off-white can come out looking pink. Has anyone experienced this? I'm kind of worried about it.

I am wearing ivory and I bought regular bridal shows. I was going to have them take the 'white' out of it, but it matched fine and no one is really going to see them

I had any ivory dress and was orignally going to wear these really high silver heels. The heel had to go shorter and I couldn't find a pair of low silver heels so I wore white and no one noticed you couldn't even see my feet.

The rule is usually to match the hem of your dress....

Personally I would love to be wearing my nice fuzzy slippers, but I don't know how well that will go over..

I have ivory too and haven't found shoes yet, but I am going into Sayville today to check it out...I'll let you know if I find anything!

LOL...I would like to wear my fuzzy slippers too!! I have ivory and I am going to have them died ivory, but I do have flip-flops to change into.

I'd do gold over silver, but you could do something totally different and wear really funky shoes or shoes that match your colors or something since no one will see them

same here....when i finally get a swatch of my dress. i am going to have them dyed if they dont match

thank you guys!!!! big help!!!! my original idea was to build my own pair of converse sneakers to match my bridesmaids( mango) but then I realize that my feet stink in them...hahaha. its a cool Idea though...you can have your names and wedding date printed on them too!!!

I think the gold or silver thing is much more dependent upon the color of the detailing of your dress than the overall fabric. my gown had a lot of silver detailing, so if I didn't get my ivory snakeskin mules, it would have been something silver....

I bought very comfortable dyeable shoes at a store called Peter Fox. They dye for free to match your dress and they have a lot of sales.
