Ok so i bought my dress at Kleinfelds and the tag says its ivory..... however, it is not a yellow ivory nor is it pure white. I am having a hard time with the guys shirt color. The girls dresses (bari jay) are turqouise blue with a ivory umpire waist and flower but I am getting the guys tuxes at Mens Warehouse and the Ivory shirt is very Yellow ivory and the white is pure white. What do you think I should do???? Ivory or white shirts? I have until Saturday to decide.... I am getting married in 16 days. Any thoughts?

Ok I haven't started getting mens clothing together but my dress is ivory as well so I was stressing about this.
From all the research I've done, its been recommended that you keep the mens shirts as white, as long as your dress is not a yellow ivory it shouldn't look odd. No dress would perfectly match their shirt anyway, and honestly, when they have their jackets on no one will notice. If the Ivory shirts they have for the men are a yellow ivory I think you would end up regretting having them wear them. Just my two cents, hope it helps!

I agree. Honestly, no one is going to be squinting to make sure colors are matched etc. hehe. Don't stress it. Its gonna look fabulous.

FH should get an ivory shirt and the GMs should get white shirts.
My dress was 'Light Ivory' and wasn't yellow-y at all and the Men's Wearhouse ivory shirt looked perfect against it. A white shirt on FH will make your gown look dingy. The GM's shirts don't really matter since you're not taking too many up close and personal pics with them. HTH!

my dress was off white and my dh wore a white shirt and ivory vest and tie. my dress didn't look dingy next to him at all. i'd go with the white shirts!

I never would've believed it until I got married, but off white is a far cry from ivory, even light ivory.
My FG dresses were 'off white' and they made my dress look dingy. Let me find a pic!
Though honestly, they tweaked the colors in my pro prics so it looks just as white as teh FG dresses, but it takes away some of the detail of my dress. JMO!

Thank you... Ok so if I pur FH in a white shirt do I do a white vest and tie? the groomsmen I will put in a white shir and there vest and ties match the bridesmaids dresses, which is the blue ( i have attached a pic of the guys vest and tie.)
my dress is ivory....was thinking of having guys wear ivory shirts to play it safe. this is what the bridal stores say...but who knows...
my GM are wearing black vests and groom wearin gbrown vest....

Aww thanks! It's not like I was upset about it or anything, but it's just that the FG dresses make it look yellow-y and it's really not! But thanks ladies!

DEFINITELY white shirts.
I'd personally do the groom in black, but it should be a low-cut vest and bowtie. You can do white as well, but I'd do white and not ivory.

is it possible to bring a dress swatch with you to the tux place??
I want my FH to get his tux from the same shop I got my gown so they can compare the two since I got ivory as well.
I plan on FH in ivory vest and tie, but we'll see what FH says
