ok so i thought we decided on Italy, now FH thinks it will be too much walking and going crazy, he wants relaxation. I'm postponing my honeymoon till August, bc im taking classes, dont ask! so i run into hurricane problemsin the caribbean. he does NOT want to do aruba, for what ever reason, i know weather would be fine there but whatever. so i was looking into ixtapa-zihuatanejo( mexico) or los cabos Mexico. anyone been to either of these? anyone have any comments???? they both sound greatbut i want to hear from people who have been there or know of someone who has!!1 tia

I have no experience with either, however when I hear zihuatanejo all I can think of is that last scene in The Shawshank Redemption where they're supposed to be. If that is actually zihuatanejo, it's gorgeous!
My cousin and his wife went to the Mayan Riviera for their honeymoon and LOVED it!

We went on a cruise for our 1st year anniversary and Zihuatenejo/Ixtapa was one of our ports.
It was very pretty. We did a snorkeling tour on that island, SO we really didn't get to much of the island.
Good luck with your decision.

We are actually planning to go to Riveria Maya for the first week and then to zihuatanejo the 2nd. I've heard wonderful things about zihuatanejo! A couple we know went there a few months ago and said it was beautiful and really laid back. We are staying at The Tides.

I've very interested in Los Cabos as well. Esperanza is out first choice and one of the girls I work with is actually going there mid March. She's going to give me a full review and I'll report back.
