J. Crew BM Dresses???

I am a huge J. Crew fan and was wondering if anyone is using their BM dresses? They are exactly what I am looking for!

I'm not a huge fan of bridesmaid'y' looking dresses because they don't fit in with the 'feel' of my wedding.

I am not, but I took a class with a girl who is using J Crew for her BM's dresses, and for her own wedding dress. She showed me the pictures, and the dresses looked nice. I never even knew that J Crew had wedding attire.

i have heard of this before - j crew has a really nice selection and the great thing is your bm's can try the dresses on in their size. i say if you find something you like, go for it.

OMG i love their new dresses... and the whole bridal thing!!! but i also have an unhealthy attachment to all that is J. crew

I think the J. Crew wedding line is great. Pretty affordable and great style.

I never knew they did either. I can't find them on their website so I guess it's certain stores only?

You can only order the dresses through the website or catalogue. They do not carry the BM or wedding dresses in any of their stores.

I was interested in a few of their dresses, and went to a flagship store to see if they carried them, and unfortunately, they did not. However, the manager that worked there told me it had it's benefits and disadvtages.

Benefits:
You can buy the dresses in various sizes, and return whatever doesn't fit.
The dresses are very simple and can totally be worn after the event
They're pretty inexpensive, and require little alterations b/c they come in petite, regular, and tall sizes.

Disadvantages:
The silk dresses are SUPER thin, and even someone that's a size 2 with less than an ounce of bulge will feel a little uncomfortable b/c it SHOWS EVERYTHING.
The colors are limited.
You can't feel the material before buying it.

My feedback:
You can always return if you dn't like the material!

So, it's worth a shot if you really like the dresses b/c you can get them pretty quickly and return them for a full refund if you don't like the way they turn out.

We ended up going with another designer for our BM dresses only b/c JCrew's BM dresses were just as expensive ($180+) and would rather have more of a selection of color.
