Re: Jack and Jill
My sister had one but we called it a 'Betrothal Party' (sp?). It was fun... more of just a party. She didn't open presents and no games. It was nice to have guys there!

Re: Jack and Jill
i had a co-ed shower and it was awesome...
wouldn't have missed the look on my dad's face that day for the world plus I got lots more time to spend w/close family and friends than i did at the wedding itself...
got mostly home gifts no lingere there (got that at bachelorette party) so wasn't embarrasing at all

Re: Jack and Jill
I had one. However, when I was opening gifts, the men were in a different part of the hall. My husband was in and out, let just say he was grinning all night when he saw some of the gifts.

Re: Jack and Jill
Sorry I like an all-female bridal shower. To me a Jack and Jill is an e-party. Plus there was no way Scott wanted to open china and linens for hours and hours. Not his idea of fun...but it was mine

Re: Jack and Jill
I agree with Michele - I really, really don't like Jack and Jill parties. I think it's a special time for the women in your life to bond - plus I don't know many men who want to go to a shower! The last Jack & Jill shower I was invited to - I went alone. There was no way FI was missing football to watch my GF open baby gifts for 4 hours.
JMO!!!

I agree who wants a man complaining about bed linens
