Jack and Jill Baby Showers

Did anyone have one or have gone to one???
Did the men have fun?
Lets say I invited my aunt's and uncle, did your uncle's come to the BS. I can't see my father going to one if they were invited?
Do the guys go off and do their own thing???
Thanks

One of my best friend's is having one. She is not due until late March/early April, so the shower will probably be January/February. When I told my husband about it, he wasn't that jazzed about going.

We were invited to one for a wedding shower last year but didn't go (scheduling conflict). It was weird because she invited the ladies to the 'shower/lunch' part, then said the men should join for dinner later in the day. I was like, 'huh?' It was in her parents' backyard in New Jersey. I guess she expected people to drive two cars in? Or for the guys to drop the ladies off, then drive around? It was very weird.... It wasn't like there was a 'guy' activity planned or anything.

Sorry I didn't answer your questions!

I dont know if this is really a Jack n Jill thing but my BIL stayed for my SIL's shower. Not just hanging around but participating in our activities

I don't think my husband would be too interested in staying at my BS when I have it.

DH and I have been invited to coed showers - he flat out refuses to go! However, the men that were there seemed to be fine....there were no special activites for them though. Also, when it came to my own baby shower, my husband helped plan it and stayed for the entire thing - he was the only guy there, but he had a good time.

I had a co-ed 'baby shower' and everyone came Aunts, uncles, cousin's, kids, boyfriends etc...... It turn out to be more like a 'party', which was exactly what I wanted. We had dinner and drinks and it was on a Saturday night. Everyone had a good time. My husband even invited some of his single male coworkers and they actually enjoyed themselves as well. I had the best time because I have 4 brothers (no sisters) and it was very cool to be able to share that with them. I guess it depends on your family and friends. My family is VERY tight and we do everything together. I think my brothers would have felt left out in a way.

I had one as well. It was a great time. FH ended up leaving early to spend time with his dad elsewhere but I invited my male friends. They didn't seem to mind!
