Jack and Jill Shower?

Ok, so my mom and sister (MOH) are planning my shower and they are totally into it. I know whatever they do will be so awesome! I know my mom wanted to do a Jack and Jill shower since we both are not that fond of the traditional shower, HOWEVER...

we had an engagement party, and I'm afraid the wedding shower will be too similar to the engagement party, and then a preparty to the wedding

What are your thoughts on this? I know my sister was saying that they had some ideas about how to make it different from the e-party by coming up with kinds of games or something of that sort. But I'm pretty sure they want to have drinks and food,maybe even a dj!

Do you think ppl will think they are too similar? Any ideas? I was thinking that maybe its a cocktail party instead, maybe it even has a theme like a luau or something?

I think if you want the Jack and Jill shower you should totally do it! Personally my FH would never go for this but I am making sure my MOH does things to make my shower different, like not having my gifts wrapped bc I think it's torture to watch people open up presents! But that's JMO.

Thanks! You should do what we're doing.. request that the gifts are wrapped in clear wrap...

'Be a Dear, and Wrap in Clear'

That way you and your guests can look around at all the gifts, but you don't have to actually open them!
