I went to a shower where 'Jacks' showed up.. and it was a little akward for everyone... it could work if done properly, but it'll change things and guys should be aware if males will be present. Good luck!
At my FSIL my brother showed up just for the cake at the very end - it was cute that they could cut the cake together, but that was it. Sorry!
I would definitely make sure its more comfortable for FH and the other men. They aren't really that uncommon anymore and FH had such a great time registering I don't really want him to miss out on the fun of opening up the gifts.
My mom gave my sister a Sunday afternoon bridal shower last year at the Inn @ NHP for all the Jill's. Meanwhile she had ordered food and tons of beer and wine for my dad to host a Jack party at our house while we were at the Inn. After the shower alot of the woman, came back to the house and joined the Jack's for another party, everyone got hungry again and we ordered pizzas and picked up more beer. The groom wore the bow hat and looked over all the gifts while we oohed and aahed. It was so much fun. I hope she does it the same way for my shower.
