SO I called today to find out when the recommended that I make our appointment for our design session. When I asked when they conduct these sessions, I was told between 1pm - 5pm Monday through Thursday. Ummml...don't they know we have jobs..and need those jobs to pay for this wedding? Even if I take their latest appointment at 5pm, I have to leave work early. Grrrr! I need to bank as much of my time off as possible for the honeymoon.
Am I crazy or are these times not very accomodating to the bride/groom AKA the CUSTOMER?
I'm just annoyed and had to share. *sigh*

yeah.... very frustrating.... thank goodness i work down the road from there and get out at 430..... some florists dont even offer it(like the one my sister used) so im just glad ill get to go

Tell them that you can't make it at those times, and they will accomodate you.

If you explain to Jack that you can't go during those times, he WILL accomodate you! Just let them know....believe me, I speak from experience. We had to arrange a different time for our design session because we couldn't go at that time either! Nothing to worry about

When I got my design session appointment they gave me a time of 7pm,so give it a try.

Im using Jack and he scheduled me in on a Monday at 8 pm... you have to remember that he cant do weekends because he has weddings and you wouldnt want he skimping on your wedding to meet with another client. He has to be flexible, but you also have to be realistic.

I agree! Jack is VERY accomodating and his weekends are packed with weddings!!! Explain to him you can't make those times and I am sure he will arrange an alternate time with you!

i actually did say i cant make those times.... and the lady said thats all they did..... 5 pm the latest and only on weekdays......In the particular job I work in i could end up on the phone with a claimant explaining something and the appt would be missed......
when we did go to look at flowers and book them, we did have our appt on a saturday night.....

I did mine at 7pm on a Thursday..... It toof FOREVER to get an appt but I did it...
I would call back and speak with Jack and tell him you cant take time off from work....

I totally understand needing to be available o weekends to work weddings. But, my first meeting to book him was on a Sunday evening at 5pm. And I think weekday evenings would be more accomodating for the brides/grooms.
But thanks for all the advice. When I call, I'll try and get something later than 5pm. I work in Mineola, so I really just need something around 5.30pm, so its not THAT much better.

they offerred my a 9:00 pm appointment. I ended up changing it to 5. I will just have to leave work early. I live and work in the city. My design session is this Wednesday. I will keep you ladies posted!!

I had my design session tonite.
Did everyone know that they moved the office? I had no idea, but it was easy to find the new place. It is now on Woodbury road.
We got there at 5:15. Jack made us feel very welcomed. He listened to my ideas. I brought my laptop with all of my pictures saved on it. He offered alot of great suggestions and we came up with some awesome ideas for flowers!! I am so excited!!!We left Jack around 8:15!!! He spent 3 hours with us, looking at pictures, trying out some flower arrangements for the bo-ks and centerpieces. I am so happy with everything that we planned.
Sorry no pics, but our design session for the centerpiece will be sometime in November. I will definitely take pics then.
