has anyone ever been to jamaica...FH and I were supposed to go to cancun for our honeymoon...we are changing it bc of everything that is going on down there and we have been looking into jamaica..i was just wondering if anyone went there and how they liked the hotel they stayed at and if there is any sort of night life?
even if you havent...i would love to hear about places you have been that would be nice for a honeymoon thats not to expensive

I would wait before you cancel your trip to Mexico. You wouldn't go on your honeymoon for another year. I'm pretty sure by then things will be ok.
I haven't been to Jamaica but FH has. He said it was nice but unless you go out with a specific guide you shouldn't leave the resorts (just what i've heard). With Cancun you can go out and about just the two of you... just know that cancun is a very 'i'm 19 yrs old and can drink legally here woo hoo' type of place lol.

i agree with the other girls...you have so much time its really not necessary to cancel the mexico plans yet
but i have been to jamaica when i was younger...ochos rios. We stayed at a really nice resort (don't remember the name) but its kinda shady when u leave the resort. I also know they have a lot of sandals resorts all over jamaica so you can def look into those.

I'd stick it out a little longer with your original HM plans just because, it's the place you thought of first which means you really liked it. If that doesn't work out then some other nice HM spots are Aruba, Turks & Caicos, and the Bahamas. I haven't heard much about Jamaica but I'm sure it's lovely too.
