I am stuck between these two Caribbean islands for our HM
STLUCIA - I feel like St. Lucia is more of an exotic Hm location and there are various things to do throughtout the day. But I don't think it offers much in terms of nightlife. Would stay at Ladera for 2 nights and then Sandals for 4 nights. Also, do you think Regency or Grande is better and why.
JAMAICA - I feel like there is tons to do in Jamaica + some nightlife. I love the crystal clear blue waters which St Lucia does not have. Would stay at Sandals Negril.
Which would you choose and why? I have to decide by Wednedsay.

FH and I have been to both Islands with Sandals and we both LOVED St Lucia...hands down our favorite.

Ive been to both too, Jamaica just has more of a nightlife and is more things to do. Lucia is more exotic though. Cant lose with either.

I would pick Jamaica because I go there so often and I love it, that was the only reason we choose St. Lucia for our honeymoon because we wanted a place that is not as familiar. But with that said I loveeeeeeeeeee Jamaica

My parents raved about St. Lucia, but if it's night life you are looking for, I'd say Jamaica! Negril Sandals is supposed to be INSANE.

I have been to Jamaica but never to St. Lucia.
If I had to pick I would go with St. Lucia. I agree that it is more exotic location. I feel like practically everyone has been to Jamaica.
Have you tried Tripadvisor.com? it is a great resource when trip planning. Real traveler photos and the have forums where you can ask questions and get info on things to do etc... I never plan a trip with out it.

I think anywhere you go there is a chance something could happen. I would not let that stop me from visiting Jamaica. You just have to be smart about what you do. Thanks for you input!

I've never been to St. Lucia BUT I have been to Sandals in Negril and absolutely LOVED IT!!!
The water is the nicest of all the islands i've been too. CLEAR, WARM and CALM! the food was DELICIOUS! the only thing is that they dont recommend you venture out on your own outside of the resort. they provide escorts/security for going shopping and even to go the clubs.

I have only been to St lucia... nice but nothing special in my mind.... I have been to many different islands and honestly wouldnt go back to ST Lucia. We didnt stay at Sandals cause we arent really into the couples type of resorts but our hotel was very nice......I just think St Lucia is a run of the mill island.

We just went to Jamaica in December, and loved it!! It was so laid back, and the people were very friendly. Granted the area is not that great, but you are in the resort (we stayed at Sandals Negril) the whole time. Plus you can take daily excursions which are safe, we did a Catamaran cruise that was great! Plus Negril is so far out of the way, that the area really isn't as bad as around the city. FH has been to St. Lucia before and hands down liked Jamaica much better! HTH
