Does anyone know good or bad about either?? FH and I keep debating both of these, we are beginning to get on each others nerves because he wants st lucia, and i want jamaica!
does jamaica have rocky beaches???

i've never been to st. lucia but have been to jamaica 2x. with my experience, it depends on which resort or part of jamaica you are at. we went to montego bay both times and our first beach was silky smooth - no rocks whatsoever. the second was a bit rockier but they had a lagoon which is where we ended up going most of the time.
i heard st. lucia is amazing though!

Never been to St. Lucia but FH and I ADORE Jamaica! Check out the Couples resorts. We had such a great experience there and that's where we will be returning for our HM in January. We originally stayed at Couples Swept Away (which is located in Negril) and for our HM we will be staying at Couples Negril (about 20 minutes away from the other resort). Beaches were not rocky at all. Water was so clean and blue. They have so much to do on the resort do don't ever have to leave.

I think it depends on what you like to do!
I'm a big hiker and FH is a beach person- so we would go to St. Lucia

I never been to either one...but I did a lot of research becasue I was debating Jamaica too. I don't hear a lot of great things about Jamaica. The ladies in my office have been there and have nothing nice to say. I mean the beaches look amazing but I think that is pretty much it.
I say def. go to St. Lucia.

FH and I have been to Jamaica twice. This is his favorite place. If you are thinking of going there look into Sandals Whitehouse. It is amazing! I have not been to a rocky beach in Jamaica. The sand is soft and the water is clear. We just booked our honeymoon at Sandals Grand St. Lucia.

we;ve been to both. St. Lucia is truly paradise on earth, and in my opeinion, much more inclined towards HM, especially if you do a Sandals resort. Jamaica, this is JMO ladies, so please don't get upset, is seedy. I'm sorry. the resort was nice and the beach was nice but even on nicer resorts, locals manage to find their way in and harass you to purchase their wares. that kind of stuff never happens on St. Lucia - its is a higher quality of customer service on the islands, i think.
