Jan05bride.....

I'm doing pretty good! Very excited, very busy. I am off tomorrow, thank goodness. I'm very short tempered with those I love but I am trying to be nice and not take everything to heart. I'm just so emotional!

My drama for the day: Last Thursday I had a fitting and I asked the seamstress for a swatch of my dress since the dress is silk-satin. The tuxedo shirts have to be ordered in either white or cream and I need the swatch to match it.
Well the seamstress forgot to give it to me and in the craziness of everything I forgot it. So I call the place Friday and ask them (actually BEG) them to please FED EX me a swatch.
They insisted they don't do that and won't do that and that they have to send it out regualr mail. Please, I beg, I'm desparate. Three weeks, my guy wants to BUY the shirt so it has to be special ordered, please! But no .. so fine I beg them to send it regular mail on Friday. After some hemming & hawing about not being sure of they can, they finally called me Friday afternoon and said it was being mailed out.
Well, guess what ... it's now Wednesday night and I have NO SWATCH and I am down to the last wire to order the tux shirts. So I call them up and am really snotty. I have to go to the @$$ end of BKLYN to p/u a swatch.
The girl (a new one) says well we open at 12:30. So I said yeah, but I was there last week at 10:30 for a fitting so I know there are people there then. No, you have to come at 12:30 ... and so on and so on.

Finally I get the girl I spoke to last week to agree to get the dress pulled and a swatch ready for 11:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. Still later than I wanted to start my day and I'm still pissed I have to go to Bklyn when I have a ton of stuff to do but at least it'll get done.

So my point ...I know it's was a long story - sorry! My point is, for the high end service they supposedly have - they didn't really do a good job of accomodating me .. I mean what does a freakin fed Ex cost $15??? Gimme a break - for the amount of money I spent in the shop, they should have hand delivered the freakin swatch...

GRRRRRR


Other than that, all is good!

bay ridge? Exit 4 off the belt pkwy. I was planning on going to Long Island and running errands all day though - it just pushes everything back

Jan05 - you really need that vent - i could hear you sigh all the way here in LI

I needed it, I'm actually laughing about how silly it probably sounds but the thought of having to drive the total opposite way in the middle of the day made me burst into tears today. And my boss calls just at I hang up with the salon and is like ... 'um, you OK?' ... they already think I'm bride-zilla at this point and here I am all weepy over a a freckin tuxedo shirt ...
I swear I used to be normal and able to function.

since you're one of the first to get married, you'll need to help us when we get out of hand.lol

you'll all be fine. I've watched a few very close friends get married this year and it's amazing how we all got wacky right about now. I'll be here for you all

that's totally going to happen, but it'll be delivered to work cause that's where I requested it and of course I am off ...
