I personally think its ALOT to ask of your guest after the Holidays..But if it saves U soo much money then I would at least consider it..Talk to your family and hear what they have to say...

I would go for it - but think about having an afternoon wedding - so people aren't too tired on Monday - esp after the long weekend!

Re: January 2, 2005?
People might be short on money following the holidays. Also, air fare is very expensive during that time if you of out of town guests who may wait to the last minute. What do your guests do for NYE, do any go out of town... what do your bridesmaids do?
I'm only playing the devils advocate because I have two friends getting married Dec 27th and they are all under on their guarantees, due to people who waited on airfare, people afraid of snow, guests who were short on cash and didn't have the money for a gift or getting dressed up as well as some family who was going out of town... and all their guests has a year and 1/2 notice!
