YAY! Jan. bride! The weather is hard to predict these days. On my wedding day this year (2007), it was that one freak 65 degree day in Jan!

Anyway, I'm wearing a strapless...and a fur shrug. You'll be indoors most of the time anyway, so you can choose any dress you want!

hey i am wearing a tank style dress, v neck.

I am going to buy a white faux fur altho every bride i have asked has said that they were HOT that day no matter the weather! LOL

lets all for good weather

and I would definitely start looking for dresses - I ordered mine in January and it was supposed to come in October but it came early and it is already in!

Im a January bride!!!!

I have a spaghetti strap dress. I am going next month to order it. My girls are in strapless.

I am trying to find a site that rents the faux fur shawls for the girls and possibly for myself.

Otherwise, i am going to be dancing hard and getting hot while inside!

saleen,

your dress is beautiful!

i think i'm going to be sweating up a storm that night too, so the lighter the better.

i'm kinda waiting for my mother to get into town to go dress shopping, which should be in the next few weeks. besides the fact that i plan on losing 20 lbs in the next 6 months

I happened to find a post the other day about an ebay seller whose price is the same as renting it from Phyllis Bridal Elegance. Here is the link to the post. She said she already bought one, it had already arrived and she loved it, so I'm actually going to check that out myself.

Hey! Another January bride here! I am confident the weather will be mild =)

I have a strapless dress (with optional cap sleeves??? not sure about them yet, will decide at 1st fitting). I am not getting a fur wrap or anything.... our ceremony and reception will both be at the same place and I just don't think I will need it for the 1 venture outside from the hotel to the limo...then the limo to JT.

Everyone is complaining that the summer is almost over....and i am like YAY

It's almost our time girls =)

What big things does everyone have left?

I have the invite list all ready....just have to find invitiations!

I haven't done that yet. My sister gave me until Aug. 1st to get her the list, so I better get moving! (lol) I didn't realize how close it actually is. I did have to take a quick Harry Potter break from planning, though.

Re: January Brides?

we just got engaged. and we are not doing many traditional things, and we have a small group of 55 guests.

we're actually picking up my e-ring today then looking at a couple of venues in the city.

i realize i don't have much time, which is why i'm addicted to this very awesome site, but since i don't think we're doing a lot of flowers, limo, DJ or bridesmaids, we're pretty much set once we book a place. oh, and find an officiant to marry us.

We have the same day - Hi Date Twin!!!!

I have no clue about the weather - last year on the 20th - it was 75... I'm TRULY hopeful that it will snow - just a teeny bit...that would make my day perfect!!!

I have my dress - it's in my album. At the moment - i don't have plans to do a jacket thing right now...but i'm leaning more towards a shrug type thing - since i'm sure regardless of the weather, i'll be boiling hot!!!!

Re: January Brides?

hello date twin!

feels nice to know someone else has also chosen this day!

i saw this dramatic looking cape on-line, but i think the weather will be mild enough too.

besides the distraction factor - when i'm pre-occupied, as i'm sure i'll be that day, it'll be more like 'what cold'?

I said the same thing about wanting a little bit of snow. The day before my wedding it was rainy and 55 degrees. By the time I woke up, there was snow and ice and it was 16 degrees! It was freezing! Nothing could damper my day though. I definitely suggest getting a shrug or wrap to have just in case.
