Japense Hair Straightening

Japense Hair Straightening

I'm REALLY considering doing this once and for all. My hair is in between wavy and curly but is SO frizzy and unruly. I can't wash and go EVER. I either have to glob on gel to get the curls to hold and look good....or I have to use a brush and with gel comb it back into a ponytail. The hair on my head is so frizzy that if I didn't put get in it and tie it back, I'd look like a mess!!!!

ETA: I also dye my hair and have no choice but to keep it up due to grays......just thought you should know that too.

I know it's been done before, but can you girls give me the pros and cons of this treatment and share your personal experiences with me? TIA

I wouldnt recommend it.... you enjoy it for about 1 day lol

i did it and yes you can just let your hair dry and its straight but it just lies stick straight and its sooooo unflaterring! if you ever wanna try something else with your hair it cant be styled as easily, and once it start growing out its really weird looking especially if you hair is on the curly side (curly roots, flat ends = ) JMO i did it, and i would never do it again

PS you cant even tuck your hair behind your ear for the first few days, it just needs to hang, so i you do decide to do it make sure you have no where special to go for the next few days!

Re: Japense Hair Straightening

i have uncontrollable hair, and i have heard many horrror stories. lots of breakage when natural hair starts growing back.l

one thing im looking into is the brazilian keratin treatment. it definately has less negative effects. you may want to look that up instead and get some consultations.

hth!
