For all you Brides using Jaylim for video - did you go with the regular video package or upgrade to cinematography? Need opinions because its a pretty big upgrade fee
Any info is much appreciated! Thanks!

Im not really 100% sure to be honest - I was hoping for some of that info here, I think it has to do with the way it is shot and how the final movie is created

It's the difference between a camera and a DSLR camera. It should just be included! Jaylim was our front runner until we saw that. Then we went with someone else. It seems steep. Cinematography should be what all wedding videos are. I mean, if not, wouldn't you just hire anyone to film it?

I just asked them the difference in and to confirm that both are shot with DSLR cameras - here is their response
It is our pleasure! The main difference between Videography and Cinematography is the editing and the style it is shot in. While video follows a more traditional and classic way, cinematography is a bit more dramatic and has a story-telling feel to it. The editing style is also different in that cinematography goes through a different editing technique than our classic video. While classic video generally follows the timeline of the day, cinematography dramatically places bits and pieces throughout the reel. Please keep in mind that all samples found on our website www.jaylimstudio.com are Cinematography samples. And yes, DSLR cameras are used for both Videography & Cinematography.

This was really a no-brainer when we booked JayLim...when we booked, the difference between cinematography vs. regular was $800. I really thought in comparison to what a wedding costs, it's cheap. For us to have looked at booking a different company for cinematography would have been thousands.

It would be 800 for us to upgrade as well I'm just trying to decide if it's worth it since we could def easily spend 800 somewhere else too

His videos are so beautiful, and to be honest, with 3 months left to go til our wedding, I feel like I open my eyes in the morning and spend $800...like money is just pouring out of me hahaha...I personally think it's one thing you'll have forever. I set a budget of 2k on flowers and kept limos simple to compromise.
