sooo to go along with our mansion style themed wedding, i thought it would be super cool to have a jazz band for CH...so we hired one through LI Sound...and i love the sound of jazz music...however, i know NO jazz music and i would like to become familiar with some tunes prior so if there is something i like i can be like hey could you make sure to play 'blah'....if any of you girls are familiar with jazz music, let me know!

I do!!! You may not want to start me going on about music hehe I'm actually not a jazz musician so I really don't know as much about it except I'm partial to big band era type stuff, like Miles Davis, Tommy Dorsey, songs like 'Take the A Train'? But overall I Think as long as it's not 'new age' jazz or 'commercial' , it won't be like elevator music.

I know a lot of jazz, but most is some pretty esoteric music that aren't the 'normal' duke ellington or ella fitzgerald songs you might be looking for.
Use Pandora to listen to some jazz stations while you're online and make a list of what songs or artists you really like.
