I was just about to FM you --

My hair is straight - I can't believe it.

Showed up with my dirty hair in a scarf and then exposed what my stylist proclaimed was only wavy hair. Wavy my asss! Anyway --

I had a mild relaxer put on my hair because my hair isn't coarse. She told me that if I had tighter curls, she would have gone with at least a medium strength - my roots were done at the end but it turned out that the roots need more of the relaxer.

The whole applicaton of the relaxer goop process took about 30 minutes. She was on top of my hair the entire time, checking to make sure that I wasn't going to have any breakage.

After the stuff was rinsed out, I was carefully shampooed and deep conditioned, had the hair wrapped in a hot towel and sat under the dryer for about ten minutes.

Then after the final rinse, she dried my hair with a wide-toothed comb.

My hair was straight. I could have used a medium relaxer on the roots but at least we know for next time, when I get touched up.

She told me not to wash until this morning and to not use a brush while drying until Tuesday.

I dried with a wide-toothed comb and again - my hair is straight.

It doesn't feel like straw either - unreal. But, as cool as it is to have straight hair, I'm glad that I can have waves/curls if I want them.

The test will come on Wednesday when it rains.
And I'll let you touch my head on Thursday if you want.

When I went on Saturday the girl who colored my hair also does hair relaxing. She said I would have the same thing you had but my hair would come out more wavy than straight which is fine by me. I can't wait to stroke your hair darling!

I think that it makes the waves/curls more managable. Like I hate going to the beach with hair that I straightened and then leave with super curls. I know that I'll probably end up with slightly wavy hair but that looks way better than what I originally had.
