Re: JCPenny furniture?

oh no..

i ordered a loveseat from there like a month ago.. first of all.. the rude asss delivery men refused to even bring it past the front door because they claim that is their 'policy'.. so i fought with them and finally they brought it where it needed to be.. in a box.. they never even took it out for me.

THEN.. i open the box and it was the wrong one! keep in mind it was on a van with one other loveseat. whatever..

so i call the delivery people and they tell me some other lady has my couch now.. finally about six hours later they bring me MY loveseat.. FILTHY, CUT, and BROKEN.

oh my gosh. it was the crappiest quality EVER. i know you're ordering bedroom furniture.. but you need to be careful cause you're paying for them to deliver it and they refuse to bring it past your front door. not to mention that they're the ones who damaged the couch beyond repiar.

HTH!!!

I actually bought my huge entertainment center from them about a year ago...I had no problem with them at all. Actually, they were about $800 cheaper then another store I went to...also I bought the entertainment center onsale....zero interest for 1 yr. Delivery was quick and the quality of my furniture is great! I would buy from them again! I'm sorry to hear that someone had a bad expereince with them...by the way,, I bought my furniture from the store on Queens Blvd in Rego Park I believe!

i bought a table and chair set from them.

It looks nice but as far as quality goes, it is laminate over MDF....so if the chair hits the wall, it leaves a mark and the chair is scratched. Since its not solid wood, you can't repair it by sanding.

Overall, I am happy with my table and chairs (table is gorgeous and whole 5 piece set was $400), but just know that it is discount and not lifetime furniture.

You get what you pay for.

I got my bed set from them, its iron, and it came quicker then it said it would, and was exactly as shown... I bought it through the web site.. the only thing i didn't like besides haveing to put it all together (which I did all by myself ) was the delivery charge was more then half of what it cost, but since it was so cheap, facotor in the shipping cost, it was still cheaper, it was ok with me... If you have it delivered to a store and pick-up yourself it does save you in shipping, I didnt know that till after

Re: JCPenny furniture?

we got pretty much all of our furniture from them... our bedroom set ( bed, 2 dressers, and 2 nightstands), mattress, AND our microfiber couch. over 2 years later, its all holding up great! and we had no problems with the delivery people. they came quickly, AND set everything up for us right whre we wanted it. we had a problem wiht our box spring being too high to go with our pillow top mattress. we called the store, and the delivery people came back like the next day with the new box spring.
we ordered our stuff in the store though, and i've heard theres a big difference when you order from the store and order online. but we've been really happy with the whole experience .

My parents have got their dining room furniture from there and it is holding up fine. Also and tables and coffee table and ent center.

They also got couches from thre about 7 years ago which were handed down to me b/c my mom's style changed. They are fine, except the back cusions are smooshie, but it is totally just the style of the couch. they also don't carry that brand anymore.

We just ordered 2 new couches from them this weekend during the sale and got the no interest, no pmt until Jan 09. These cusions are attached to the back of the couch so I'm sure they won't be a problem.

I think some of theirs are made by Lane furniture which is good and they also carry Broyhill which is good quality.

got my canopy bed from them 2 yrs ago and it's been great! We've ordered from them quite a bit over the years and it really depends on what you order. but we've had good experiences for the most part

We have a couch from them and it is of great quality - damn sturdy and they did bring it up stairs - a big flight of stairs. As for delivery, I am willing to bet that they subcontract and that the delivery people are not Penney's employees.
