JCREW now offers a BM line. Most of the dresses are tea-length or knee length, but some floor lengths are available.

Re: JCREW - Weddings
I saw that. I found it odd. I would never think of them for that. Maybe Ann Taylor, but never J Crew. I guess for an informal wedding, they would work. I like the guys in the seersucker suits too

Re: JCREW - Weddings
It's showcased in their latest catalog--I got it in the mail yesterday. Some of the dresses are on the website under the category 'Special Occasions' but it doesn't say 'Weddings'.
I can imagine the dresses be worn if you are getting married on the beach or something casual. They are lovely dresses, though...

Re: JCREW - Weddings
it is featured in their catalog, but the dresses are also availalbe online.
they are not your typical bm dresses, but definelty appropriate for a semi/in formal wedding. they are not that expensive and best of all, a wear again!
This is too weird. Except for the first two this stuff is way to casual to be a line of clothing intended for a wedding.

Re: JCREW - Weddings
I think it was either in the New York Times Sunday Magazine or maybe Vogue, where they did a photo shoot of a couple who was getting married at City Hall and they were wearing similar look in the more casual line of the JCrew line--like the lace dress. They looked happy and great.
I do think some of the dresses would be cute for rehearsal dinner.

Re: JCREW - Weddings
I'm sorry - but I just looked at the website and I think it's stupid. The dresses don't look Bridesmaid like at all - and it's not like they are so cheap compared to other BM dresses that it's worth it. JMO!

Re: JCREW - Weddings
It actually says in the catalog that the dresses are for wedding guests, not just BMs...I personally LOVE the lace one, not that I know what I would wear it to.

I really like that one too! I'm just trying to come up with a good rationalization for buying them!

Re: JCREW - Weddings
Maybe they should re-categorize them as honeymoon or rehearsal dinner clothes.
I love J. Crew, but they are changing in some weird ways
