I know alot of brides recommened her - BUT heres the thing - I am really torn - I want to use her - NEVER had atrial BUT everone raves about her - Well anyway - I emailed her 1-month ago and she was booked - BUT I tried again and how she says shes avaiable - but she kept asking the time.... SO I am afraid that she might be overbooking or something. I am not sure. What do I do - I am afraid to ask her - I really dont want to offend her - BUT I am scared to BOOK her....
WHAT DO I DO....
Plus she still hasnt gotten back to me about pricing for tirals and dates - I have left two vm messages and emails....

Re: Jennifer from Fairytale Weddings
I feel the SAME WAY.
She's actually really good friends with someone I know, so I booked a trial with her. She cancelled the day of the trial due to medical reasons, which was fine. But I called her a few days later to reschedule - no returned call. Then I started to see brides on here post pictures from trials they were doing with her. I emailed her - no response. I called one last time. Finally, after a week and a half of calling her and trying to get her to respond, she finally emails me to tell me she was OUT OF TOWN. Yet she's doing trials?
I'm sure she's lovely, and does great work, but she is rather disorganized, and I've decided not to reschedule my trial with her.

Re: Jennifer from Fairytale Weddings
She is a very busy woman and does this on the side, she has a life of her own and I was in the smae boat, when I want something I want it then and there especially through the whole wedding process. I did have to go back and forth a few times but it was well worth it I loved my trail and have booked her for my day, she does great work and she is so sweet I think that one me the most becuaswe I have faith that shell keep me grounded the day of. I think most people who do what she does can book two wedding in one day, lots of people get married early and she can start as early as 5 and be done at 11 and then go to another bride. I think shes worth it. My advice is to email more than once a week, email worked better for me than phone.
Good Luck I would defiantly book a trail and just see how you like it.

Re: Jennifer from Fairytale Weddings
its really up to you, there are a bunch of other hair/makeup people on here, so if you dont feel confident in one, try another, and if you dont like the other people, then go back to the first one..

Re: Jennifer from Fairytale Weddings
I am surprised that she took so long to get back to some of you ladies. I have to say when I e-mailed her the first time about a trial, she e-mailled me back the next day...we wrote back and forth many times in just a few days. I had my trial 2 weeks after we spoke. I'm sorry you had a bad experience, If I were in your position, I too would be concerned

Jen's great, and she's busy. She really was out of town-and she obviously was not doing trials when she was. you mut be mistaken and gotten brides'trial dates mixed up with when she was away. But if you're that uncomfortable, definitely go with someone else- although you are missing out on one talented artist-if there is one thing Iam confident about, it's that my hair and makeup will be perfect---and that to me is very important.

Re: Jennifer from Fairytale Weddings
I have some questions regarding Jennifer. She said that the $40 trial is applied to the day of? That means you pay the 40 dollars then and the rest on the wedding day? Also she quoted me $170 for me and it said $150 on the website. Has anyone booked her recently and what did she quote you?

Re: Jennifer from Fairytale Weddings
$170 is for the airbrushing, I believe. It might be $150 without it. Yes, she charges $40 for the trial, but if you book her, it goes towards the total, so my balance is now $130 instead of $170. If I hadn't booked her, it would have been $40.
Frankly, I had some difficulty getting in touch with her and setting up a trial, but she was definitely worth the wait. However, you have to get her far enough in advance in order to even have a chance that she won't already be booked.
Also, even if you don't book her, $40 for hair and makeup trial is CHEAP!

No, I actually FMed a bride who posted her trial pics to verify when her trial was, and it was the night before she posted, a few days after my trial was supposed to be. Jen and I have a mutual friend, who told me that Jen DID go out of town, but not for the entire time that it took her to get back to me. That mutual friend completely understood my disappointment, as well.
Like I said, she does great work, I've seen the pictures on the boards and will attest to anyone who asks that she is a very talented artist. I generally don't like bashing people on the boards - I don't think I'm bashing her, and I understand that she's busy and she has a life. But when I call someone and email them repeatedly to try and reschedule a trial that they cancelled, I'm going to give up if I don't get the courtesy of a response - Even a quick 'I'm going out of town for a few days and will get back to you when I'm back'. This is not a case of impatience - I'd been trying to get in touch with Jen for a few months BEFORE we finally got a trial scheduled.

Re: Jennifer from Fairytale Weddings
Jann, thank you for the information. The prices do not sound so bad. I am going to email her again to confirm the prices and find out if the $170 is for the airbrushing. In my experience with her, she does take some time to respond but she has always gotten back to me within 3-4 day.

Re: Jennifer from Fairytale Weddings
I am not using her, but I remember hearing she holds your date when you book a trial with her and if you don't use her than the date is available again. Maybe when you called the first time she was holding the date for someone, but when you called back they decided not to use her, so she was free. Hope it all works out for you!!
